In late November, a representative of Baltic Control® Certification, part of Baltic Control®, took part in two major events organised by ISCC in Cologne, Germany:
the Certification Bodies Meeting on 25 November 2025,
the Regional Stakeholder Meeting – Europe on 26 November 2025.
Both events gathered certification bodies, industry stakeholders, associations, and experts involved in building transparent, credible, and sustainable supply chains for biomass, waste-based materials, renewable feedstocks, and circular products. ISCC, as a multi-stakeholder initiative, plays a key role in ensuring the integrity and traceability of sustainability claims across global value chains.
On 25 November, the ISCC Certification Bodies Meeting provided a platform for two-way dialogue between ISCC and certification bodies. Discussions focused on:
sharing audit experiences and operational challenges,
identifying practical obstacles within certified supply chains,
exchanging best practices for risk assessment, oversight, and conformity evaluation,
providing feedback to help further harmonise and improve ISCC system requirements.
Participation in this meeting allows BC Certification to stay aligned with current system developments and contribute directly to shaping how sustainability standards are interpreted and implemented worldwide.
The following day, 26 November, the Regional Stakeholder Meeting – Europe brought together a broad group of stakeholders to discuss key certification topics within the European regulatory landscape. The agenda included:
the role of coordinated supervision in supporting EU sustainability objectives,
measures aimed at strengthening system integrity and preventing fraud,
the introduction of the new Risk Management Tool,
how TYC Connect enhances efficiency and simplifies work with the Union Database (UDB).
The meeting addressed challenges related to transparency, data reliability, and compliance with evolving EU regulations governing sustainable materials and circularity.
Participation in ISCC events provides Baltic Control® Certification and Baltic Control® with several key advantages:
ongoing insight into regulatory and system updates,
strengthened competencies in risk management and system integrity,
faster and more accurate interpretation of new ISCC requirements,
enhanced ability to support companies in meeting EU expectations on traceability and sustainability.
For our clients, this translates into greater regulatory security, improved audit readiness, and support from a certification partner who understands both the operational and strategic implications of compliance.
Baltic Control® continues to invest in developing its expertise in sustainable certification, circular economy, and supply chain traceability. Participation in the ISCC meetings in Cologne is another step towards:
active involvement in the international dialogue on certification standards,
strengthening quality, transparency, and credibility across supply chains,
supporting our clients in implementing their sustainability strategies.
If your organisation:
operates within an ISCC-certified supply chain,
plans to implement certification in sustainable biomass, waste, or circular materials,

We are happy to share insights from the Cologne events and discuss how we can support your company in building responsible, transparent, and compliant supply chains.
