Important information about coronavirus (COVID-19):

Baltic Control® Certification supports the Danish government and Danish Health Authority’s efforts to limit the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19). Even though most of our office staff work from home and the phones are redirected to mobile phones business continues as usual: we are 100% available on mail and phones, thus continue the work of servicing our customers.

Audits, on the other hand, must necessarily take place in the companies and in the herds in question. In order to protect both customers and auditors against COVID-19 virus, we have set the following restrictions and precautions for upcoming audits in the next weeks:

BEFORE AUDIT:
If persons present during the audit have had physical contact with family or others affected or suspected of coronavirus, audit cannot take place.

The farm/herd or company responsible person is therefore urged to contact the BCC auditor (mobile no. is shown in the letter of visit) or contact the BCC office on tel. +45 70 27 06 09 (animal welfare) or tel.: +45 39 39 01 35 (food/feed/sustainability) as soon as possible and state if there will be persons present during the audit who have been in physical contact with infected persons within the last 14 days before the audit day. We will set a new audit date if there is a need to postpone scheduled audits based on the risk of coronavirus.

Of course, in addition to the above, also applies if the auditor should quarantine.

DURING AUDIT:
The auditor does not shake hands and there will be general increased attention to hygiene (even though Danish livestock herds and auditors already have a high focus on hygiene)

In the next weeks we will try to carry out audits with as little physical contact as possible. Therefore, there may be parts of the audit that will take place using Skype / Facetime / mobile. We also ask for a distance of more than 2 meters between the persons participating in the audit.

We hope for your understanding that the next weeks audits will be a little different than under normal circumstances.

These guidelines will be updated on an ongoing basis in accordance with the guidelines of the Danish Health Authority.
