Baltic Control® Certification is approved to certify according to the Global Red Meat Standard (GRMS).
GRMS aims to create transparency in animal welfare, quality, food safety and hygiene in slaughter houses, factories and other companies that slaughter, cut, bone, process and/or handle meat and meat products from a large number of four-legged livestock animals like pigs, cattle, lambs, sheep, goat and horse.
Transparency is provided through an independent certification process based on ISO/IEC 17065. Unlike the quality schemes of other more generic food industries, GRMS is tailored to the specific requirements of the meat industry.
