DANISH product standard is the industry's own quality concept for Danish pig production. In close collaboration with SEGES, the Knowledge Center for Pig Production, Baltic Control® Certification has certified more than 3,000 Danish pig farms per year since 1 January 2009.

The DANISH standard ensures and documents that Danish pig farms comply with Danish legislation and industry requirements with special focus on animal welfare, food safety and traceability. In order to maintain the standard, a farm wishing to deliver DANISH pigs will be subject to a minimum of one visit every three years by experienced auditors from Baltic Control® Certification.

Further information about the DANISH standard can be found at SEGES, Knowledge Center for Pigs Production, via their website www.seges.dk.

Registration can only be done through Baltic Control® Certification, link to application form: please click here. If you have any questions regarding the certification of DANISH pigs or wish to receive our certification regulations, please do not hesitate to contact us on phone + 45 86 21 62 11 or by mail to cert@balticcontrol.com.
